About Local Power...

Local Power, a not for profit community group, has been established by a group of West End (Brisbane 4101) residents who are interested in reducing their footprint by making their homes and community more sustainable.

To help with this goal, we have an interest in sustainable power generation which is local and community owned.  PV solar based electricity is one way we can help make this happen.

Local Power is a program of Community Initiatives Resource Association Inc., a not for profit community organisation based in West End.  Community Initiatives Resource Association Inc. (ABN 42 241 513 917  IA 13489  incorporated in 1994) is the legal entity for Local Power, handling all Local Power finances. Local Power will be subject to a financial audit upon completion of the buying group.
