Here are some step by step photos of an installation:

From left to right and top to bottom:

the roof is prepared and the feet are fixed to the roof

the aluminium mounting rails are bolted to the feet and then the panels are hoisted on the roof

3kW (18 x 175W) of panels are clamped onto the rails and wired together and into the inverter
